How to Get More Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel Leads (That Actually Turn Into Appointments)

By Leo Melaye, founder of BuildSignals · October 2, 2026

Getting a remodel lead is the easy part. Getting a homeowner with a budget to sit down with you is the hard part. Here's the playbook we use at BuildSignals for kitchen and bath remodelers across the US.

1. Lead with a clear, local offer

Homeowners scroll past "quality craftsmanship." They stop for something specific to them: a free in-home estimate, a design consultation, a clear starting price, or a timeline ("new shower in days, not weeks"). Mention the city or area so it feels local.

2. Use real people and real projects in your ads

Phone-shot video of the owner, a crew member, or a finished bathroom usually beats polished stock imagery. Before-and-after photos of your own work build trust fast. Keep the text short and say exactly what happens when they tap the button.

3. Ask qualifying questions in the form

Instant forms on Facebook and Instagram make it easy to respond, which also makes it easy for unqualified people to respond. Add a question or two: do they own the home, what project, roughly when. Fewer, better leads beat a flood of renters.

4. Call within minutes, not hours

The biggest leak in most contractors' marketing isn't the ads, it's the follow-up. A homeowner who just filled out a form is ready to talk right now. An hour later they've moved on or filled out a competitor's form. Call immediately, text if they don't pick up, and send a link to book an estimate so they can schedule themselves. More on this in speed to lead for remodelers.

5. Qualify before you drive

Before an appointment goes on the calendar, confirm they own the home, what they want done, and their budget. Make sure everyone who decides will be there.

6. Confirm every appointment

A quick confirmation the day before saves wasted drives and keeps your close rate honest.

7. Track appointments and closes, not just leads

Cost per lead tells you very little. Track cost per appointment and cost per closed job by ad, and move budget to what books and closes.

What this looks like in practice

For H. Flores Construction, this approach booked 6 appointments worth $120k in scheduled work from $361 in ad spend in the first days, and 3 jobs worth $44k within the first month. MTR Baths closed over $140,000 in a single month. See more results.
